White Lies concert at Stodoła | 5.03.2011 in Warsaw

Swetrzak#2: hmm... let me think.. it was our which concert? yes, the third one of this band. First was at Opener Festival in Gdynia two years ago. Then I knew only a few songs from the album 'To Lose My Life', but after that concert I absolutely fall in love in that band! (the same experience has Swetrzak#1 - Monia;) It was magnificent time.. why? just check some shorts movie from their concerts on YouTube. Our second concert was at Orange Warsaw Festival one year ago . Also great one, but not so magical as the concert at Opener. In Gdynia they played in a big tent, and I think music of this band more suited to such places, not outdoors.

One year later or more accurately - seven months later, we appeard at the foot of the gates Stodoła! - one of the most famous clubs in Warsaw. Lot of work on our studys, just after a long illness, seven hours in a train - what a sacrifice!

But we can honestly say that it was worth.
I can even say that it was my best one of WL.

White Lies played songs from the first and second album (they were in tour with new Ritual album). Everything was great: support, atmosphere, crowd - yeah polish audience is even call one of the best in a whole world.. and did I mentione about light? As an artist, I appreciate second show which took place on the stage with WL - the light show. Beautiful, even theater light! For example head of a drummer looked like suspended in the air - he was dressed in black, background also black and the light was directed only on face.
The band was in great condition, supported by extra pair of Rob Lee hands, we call him affectionately Swetrzak (eng. the jumper men, couse he sometimes wears funny jumpers).

Of course the most important is music - and we love that lyrics&sound - electric with rock, the influence of the eighties, a bit dark.
An unforgettable concert.

Here a few photos from the event, most of them are fuzzy - in a painting style. Unfortunately we couldn't calmly stand on the spot ;)
