Gered Mankowitz

One of the greatest music photographer of the rock music scene for the last 40 years. From youngster Gered was interested in photography. He had passion and was simply very talented. His career started after a trip to Holland, where ha had a chance to show his work to legendary photographer Tom Blau. Later Gered was offered an internship in famous photo agency Camera Press.

His first famous photography was made with duo Chad & Jeremy. Even one of his works was used as a cover of their album.

Storm Thorgerson

This graphic designer and film maker is well known from the famous covers of Pink Floyd albums. With a group of great artists called Hipgnosis Storm designed many characteristic covers.

Pennie Smith

Another greate music photographer of all time. Most of her work is shot in black and white. Her best known photography was made in Palladium New York in 1979. It is presenting Paul Simonon from the Clash smashing his guitar in scene.

Image is not sharp because Pennie had to suddenly move back, to avoid being hit by the guitar.

Dean Chalkley

He is one of the most famous contemporary British music photographer. He worked with guitar band and solo artists like Pete Doherty, The Strokes, White Stripes, Arctic Monkeys.

He spend his childhood in Southend on Sea near Essex, England. Where the Skinheads, Punks etc. have influenced town's alternative youth. These surrounding had big impact on his later works. In his photographs there is something from good, old rock 'n' roll, there is truth and simplicity.
